Life at Eton
Every day, in every space, amazing things are happening at our school.
Our new STEAM Lab has offered students the opportunity to explore hands-on solutions to everyday problems. Using the MIT methodology, third graders focused their creativity on the kind of wearable solutions that Everyday Heroes (firemen, policemen, nurses, etc.) would need to do their job, connecting their effort to their project.
Protecting Instructional Time
Teaching and learning are active efforts that require concentration, engagement and a very productive use of time.
We are sharing our policy on protecting instructional time (click here) and ask that you support our efforts by respecting arrival and dismissal times. Whenever students need to enter or leave a classroom at a different time from their classmates, learning is interrupted and a complex process must be put into place.
In order to protect valuable learning time, we remind you of the following policies:
- Students must be in school by 7:40 a.m. On rare occasions, they may arrive by 10:30 a.m. at the latest, in which case they will be marked absent for the first period.
- The only early dismissal that will be authorized is 12:45 p.m., and dismissals by car (except those directly authorized at the beginning of the year) shall be at 2:45 p.m. with the corresponding online permission slip and always through the bus lane.
- Keep in mind that if your child has a doctor’s appointment or any administrative process, they should not come to school that day, as we will not authorize mid-morning dismissals.
- And finally, if for any reason your child leaves the school, they may not return in the afternoon for ASP or tutoring.
We appreciate your support in this important matter.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
We are ready to begin Parent-Teacher Conferences! These 15-minute meetings are a great opportunity for you to sit with teachers and Ms. Tony or Ms. Dani to review your child’s progress.
We have already sent the invitations for the first sessions: Grades 1 and 4. If your child is in one of these grades and you haven’t scheduled your conference yet, please look for the invitation in your email or call Ms. Ross or Ms. Imelda.
Remember that all students must stay home on their group’s PTC day to allow both teachers to be at the meetings.
Note: Please see the date changes in the 6th-grade sessions. This year, PTC for our sixth graders will be student-led, and we allowed an additional week for them to be ready to present to their parents.

Sports Achievements
We celebrate the achievement of Alexa Elsharkawi, who won second place in the fourth stage of the Junior Golf Tour.
