NOTABLE INFORMATION
Life at Eton
Every day, in every space, amazing things are happening at our school. First-grade students from Ms. Elizabeth’s class had the opportunity to make their own pizzas as part of a superstar celebration.
Thank you for sharing these joyful images, Ms. Eli!
Lost & Found
This is your last chance to claim any items your children may have lost. We would also like to remind you how important it is to label your children’s personal belongings and talk to them about taking care of their things.
Any lost items not claimed in December will be donated to charity in January.

Learning Assessment
The first period is coming to a close, and we will soon share report cards through Eton Online. It is important to remember that learning is a continuous process and progress does not always follow a linear path. Transitions to new stages, such as moving to Elementary or 4th grade, may impact results even when the student is learning at an appropriate pace.
We invite you to review the report card carefully with your child and acknowledge the areas where they’ve grown. Afterwards, talk to them about areas where improvement is possible and support them in setting goals that foster development.
Tips for supporting learning at home:
- Encourage reflection: Ask your child what they learned, what felt easy, and what was challenging.
- Establish clear routines: A defined space and schedule for studying help build positive habits.
- Celebrate effort, not just results: Recognizing dedication reinforces motivation and a growth mindset.
- Promote curiosity: Encourage your child to ask questions and seek answers beyond what was covered in class.
- Support goal-setting: Help them define specific, achievable objectives for areas that need improvement.
Finally, remember that report cards represent more than grades; they are a snapshot of the student’s learning journey, highlighting strengths and areas for growth.
True learning thrives when students go beyond grades to reflect on habits, ask questions, set goals, and engage in deep analysis, turning feedback into actions for future success. This approach fosters a growth mindset and connects effort with achievement, offering a holistic view of progress.
Thank you for accompanying your child on this journey. Your support and commitment are essential for every student to reach their full potential.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
We will soon be sending invitations for the first Parent-Teacher Conferences in January and February. These 15-minute meetings are a great opportunity for you to sit with teachers and Ms. Tony or Ms. Dani to review your child’s progress.
Once you receive the invitation, you will be able to select the time and format (virtual or in person) that best fits your needs.
We look forward to these conversations!
